To ensure that they "keep their figures".
After eleven years of marriage
My husband and I separated

I sold my wedding dress the next year
Through the local newspaper
A woman and her daughter
Arrived to inspect it
The mother bought it
For her daughter to wear at a debutante ball
And I was happy not only to
